The University "Mediterranea" of Reggio Calabria (UNIRC )
The University “Mediterranea” has six departments and more than ten thousand students. The modern University Campus houses administrative and educational buildings, six departments, sixty laboratories. Surrounded by the beauty of the environment,, the University “Mediterranea” combines at best research and teaching. Its courses pay attention to the themes of landscape, urbanism and green economy, jurisprudence, archeology. The post-graduate courses offer a very wide variety of courses that allow students and graduates to improve their skills according to the needs of the market.

MEDAlics - Research Centre for the Mediterranean Relations , Reggio Calabria ( MEDAlics )
Established in 2010 within the "Dante Alighieri" University for Foreigners of Reggio Calabria, MEDAlics aims to create a platform for exchange of knowledge, creativity and innovation in connection with the local system and the international context of research and business. The main aim is to analyze the relationships between innovation, international trade, economic growth and competitiveness in the global economy, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean area .

Founded in 2012, the Research Institute for Innovation and Technology in the Mediterranean aims to be a "think tank" useful to promote innovation through the analysis of social and economic systems.
It tries to follow cultural, civil and instrumental developments involving the community and the local economy in order to support the transfer of knowledge , technology and information.
